HURRICANES
Hurricanes are the most dangerous storms on earth!
Hurricanes are tropical storm with winds speeds of 64 knots, it can cause severe damage to people who live by the pacific or by the equator.
WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS?
Hurricanes can cause floods that lead to people dying because the drown. This only happens if you live By the water. It also can cause people to starve because of not enough food supply It destroyed their house and barn. During the storm, when parts of their house no longer

HOW ARE THEY TRACKED?
Formed from a tropical wave off the coast of Venezuela. The system moved west through the Caribbean before it made landfall near Bluefields, Nicaragua. Cesar was responsible for at least fifty deaths and thousands of homeless in Columbia and Central America. This was a unique event because Cesar formed so far south, and then became only the fourth system in 50 years to cross Central America and emerge in the Pacific as a named storm (Hurricane Douglas). 5 missions
WHAT HAPENS WHEN IT OCCURS?
They form usually over water and move to land by the ocean As hurricanes move over land, strong winds and heavy rains pound the area for many hours. Buildings can come crashing down. Tree branches, telephone poles, and even whole roofs can fly through the air like bullets.
HERE ARE TEN FACTS
Hurricanes are born over the warm waters of the tropical oceans, where humid air and converging winds fuel convective processes responsible for developing hurricanes. Hurricane is, in fact, just one name for the kind of storm scientists refer to as a strong tropical cyclone. When the same kind of storm occurs in the eastern Pacific Ocean, it's called a typhoon. In the southwest Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean, the storms are called cyclones. Hurricanes are tropical cyclones with winds that exceed 64 knots (74 mi/hr) and blow counterclockwise about their centers in the Northern hemisphere, (clockwise in the Southern hemisphere). A region 20-50 km in diameter found at the center where skies are often clear, winds are light, and the storm's lowest pressure readings are obtained. When a hurricane moves over land, strong winds and heavy rain hit the area for several hours. As the eye of the hurricane reaches the area, the rain stops and the air becomes calm. The hurricane weakens as it moves over land because it needs the warm sea to supply energy by evaporation. Friction caused by the rougher land surface also slows the winds. In the Northern Hemisphere, hurricane winds blow around the eye in a counterclockwise direction. They blow clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere. Hurricane eyes travel at speeds of 10 to 15 miles (16 to 24 kilometers) per hour. Most hurricanes move westward at first and become largerturn east after they reach temperate latitudes, where they are called extra-tropical storms. Many end as weak storm centers over cool oceans. Hurricanes, typhoons, and less severe tropical cyclones form in warm seas, then move to higher latitudes.

A FAMILY WHO SURVIVED.
The Benitez Family Survived the Storm The violent winds of Hurricane Andrew caused enormous damage to South Florida. The Benitez family decided to stay on their farm during the storm. Before the hurricane, Mike and Patricia Benitez, and their four children stocked up on canned goods and bottled water. Today the family lives in a new home that took two years to build. They were lucky. The family remembers what it was like during the terrible storm. It's something they don't want to experience again

did you know
* Hurricanes developed over warm oceans and depend on the humid air.
Hurricanes are related to weather systems called "tropical cyclone"
Hurricanes usually 0ccur over 5 and 30 degrees latitude north and south of the equator.
You have seen it all from S W T (students with talents) made by Siniya,William,Tisha. We summarized all the facts about Hurricanes. So don't player hate or pontificate just cooperate then you will appreciate and finally congratulate
