~~DEFINITION OF A TSUNAMI~~

Tsunami is a very large and powerful ocean wave.

~~CAUSES OF A TSUNAMI~~

From our research, we found out that TSUNAMIS are caused by volcanoes, eruptions, land slides, earthquakes and impacts by asteroids or comets. Earthquakes generate tsunamis when the sea floor abruptly deforms and vertically displaces the overlaying water. Landslides, volcanic eruptions and cosmic collisions generate tsunamis by any disturbance that displaces a large water mass from it's regular position.

~~EFFECTS OF TSUNAMI~~

As a Tsunami approaches shore, it begins to grow in height. Like other water waves, tsunamis begin to lose force as they rush to shore. Tsunamis can cause alot of damage to a place. It is a very powerful natural disaster ( FORCE ). Despite the amount of force it loses, it still reaches the coast with tremendous amount of strength. Tsunamis have great potential of erosion, destroying beaches of sand that have taken years to accumulate and knocking down trees. Tsunamis can flood hundreds of meters. It is a very destructing wave.

This is an example of the outcome of a TSUNAMI----->>>>
