About

Earth Science Regents Study and Living Environment Regents Prep are apps available in the iTunes App Store to help you study for New York State’s Regents exams in Earth Science and Living Environment (biology) respectively.  They can also be used by people interested in earth science or biology as they each have over 100 multiple-choice questions that cover many earth science and biology topics.  Topics in the Earth Science Regents Study app come from the Regents Earth Science Core Curriculum and include:  astronomy, geology, meteorology, and the environmental sciences.  Topics in the Living Environment Regents Prep come from the Regents Living Environment Core Curriculum and include:  ecology, biochemistry, genetics, and anatomy.

Both apps also include vocabulary flash cards specific to each subject and that regularly show up on the Regents exams.  Lastly, each app has an area that presents key ideas randomly, one at a time, each time you touch the screen.

My purpose was to create apps that would allow you to study for the Regents exams on the go with your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad.  As these are my first apps for the iTunes App Store, I would appreciate any constructive feedback to make them even more useful, powerful, and fun to use.  You can give feedback by submitting a comment here or to any post in my blog.

I just purchased an iPad, and am very interested in the ESTutorial app for Regents Earth Science. According to your blog, it indicates that the ESTutorial app will be available for purchase from the Apple Store this week, with the technical problem corrected. Do you also anticipate making an Intermediate Level science tutorial available as well? Thanks.

Thank you for your interest! The technical problem with the ESTutorial has now been fixed. I definitely can create an Intermediate-level science tutorial. I will try to get it done by the 10th of August and post it to Apple. They take around a week to approve it so, I’m shooting for August 17th. Keep checking iTunes and I will keep you updated.
