Both the Earth Science and Living Environment Regents prep apps have been updated to version 1.4. With this comes more stability and flashy new buttons. I hope you enjoy them!
Improvements coming soon
I just realized that the Earth Science Regents Prep app will crash under certain circumstances. Namely, once you finish taking a quiz and try to go to another section. I have fixed this and submitted it to the iTunes App Store. It should be approved by next Monday (7/26) or Tuesday (7/27). So, the update will be available soon. Thank you for your patience in the mean time.
By the way, this behavior, luckily, does not affect the Living Environment Regents Prep app.
Living Environment Regents tutorial app ready for sale on the iTunes App Store
My new Living Environment Regents exam tutorial app is now available on the iTunes App Store. It offers a review of high school level biology topics using multiple-choice questions, vocabulary flash cards, and randomly generated key ideas. This app, like its companion, was specifically designed to prepare you for a New York State’s Regents exam by giving you a chance to take practice quizes from a databank of real past Regents questions. Also, like ESTutorial, it has an area to work on vocabulary and an area to review key concepts that are tested by the exam. I hope this program helps you review for the Regents exam and get a great score!
Regents Earth Science study app available on the iTunes App Store
As of June 26, 2010, the Regents tutorial app for Earth Science is available on the App Store. It is called “ESTutorial” and is available for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.
I wrote the app because I noticed that there were no apps available that would help someone study for the New York State Regents exams. This is the first app I have written for the App Store, so I would welcome constructive feedback. Please post a comment with your impressions of the app and any suggestions for making it even better. Your comments will be taken to heart and may end up as future updates.
As I was writing the app, I tried to imagine the things that would help someone study for the Regents exam. This is why I included three areas: the first, to practice taking real regents questions; the second, to practice studying vocabulary cards; and a third, to look through key ideas.
I hope you enjoy it and that it helps you prepare for your next Regents exam!
